Read the built-in Speed test correctly and choose the metric that matters for your task.
- Latency or ping measures response delay; lower usually feels better for calls, games, and interactive work
- Download measures how quickly the device receives data; it matters for streaming and downloads
- Upload measures how quickly the device sends data; it matters for backups, video calls, and sharing files
- One fast metric does not guarantee that the other two are healthy
- 1Pause unrelated heavy network activity
- 2Run the built-in Speed test without the VPN when the platform allows it
- 3Connect with Auto to a nearby location and repeat the test
- 4Compare another nearby location under the same conditions
- 5Choose the stable result that best fits the task rather than the highest single number
