Set up Smart DNS for a TV, console, or other device

Smart DNS is for eligible plans and devices that cannot run the HorizonVPN app. It changes DNS handling for supported services but does not create a full-device encrypted VPN tunnel.

1. 1Sign in and open Smart DNS in the HorizonVPN dashboard from the same home connection as the device
2. 2Confirm Smart DNS is included in the current plan
3. 3Choose Best available location or another location currently offered on that page
4. 4Optionally add a label such as Home, then choose Authorise this address
5. 5Copy every DNS address shown under Your DNS addresses
6. 6Open the TV, console, or device network settings and enter those addresses as its manual DNS servers
7. 7Reconnect the device to the network and test the intended service

• Authorize again when the dashboard says the entry expired or your public internet address changed
• A Private DNS, Secure DNS, DNS-over-HTTPS, or iCloud Private Relay setting can bypass the manual DNS choice
• A phone on mobile data does not use the home Wi-Fi address authorized in the dashboard
• Service availability still depends on the outside service, account region, device location, and current Smart DNS support
