Auto

Let Horizon choose the best option. This is the recommended starting point for most users because the app can pick a suitable route without manual testing.

UDP

High-speed WireGuard tunnel optimized for low latency and everyday use.

Stealth

Obfuscated tunnel that disguises VPN traffic to improve connectivity on restricted networks.

UDP Plus

Reliable OpenVPN UDP tunnel offering broad compatibility and stable performance.

TCP

OpenVPN TCP tunnel designed for restrictive or unstable networks.

HTTP

HTTP Plus

Quick selection guide

• Use Auto first unless support asks you to test a specific mode
• Use UDP for low latency and normal everyday networks
• Use Stealth, HTTP, HTTP Max, or TLS when VPN traffic is blocked or inspected
• Use HTTP Plus when streaming reliability matters on filtered networks
• Use TCP or UDP Plus when you need OpenVPN compatibility
